From traditional guilds of craftsmen to contemporary digital fabrication and construction, the practice of architecture is always associated with crafts and craftsmanship. Beyond the tactile quality of the case of built objects, the craft quality is manifested in the architectural process, inseparable from the acts of drawing and making. This symposium gathers architects, designers, and scholars to discuss their research and design projects on craft in architecture and its challenges and potential in contemporary architectural practice.
